Tyler, Texas (February 2, 2024) – Tyler Athletic & Swim Club (TASC) will host the Texas Spine & Joint Men’s Championships, a USTA Pro Circuit event on the ATP Challenger Tour, June 2-9, 2024. The men’s professional tennis tournament will feature top ranked players competing at the private East Texas club for over $60,000 in prize money and valuable ATP ranking points.
2024 will be the tournament’s second year in Tyler and will kick off a strong summer season of ATP Challenger Tour events leading into the US Open at the end of August. In addition to the professional men’s event, TASC hosts a USTA Pro Circuit Women’s tournament in the fall.
“We are thrilled to bring professional men’s tennis back to Tyler, Texas this summer,” said Rob Lowe, Tournament Director and TASC General Manager. “These events have a hugely positive impact on our local community and give our club members a world-class tournament to look forward to every year.”
The tournament’s new title sponsor, Baylor Scott & White Texas Spine & Joint Hospital, is a locally- based Tyler hospital that provides non-invasive and surgical pain relief procedures, specializing in the treatment of spine and joints.
“As the local leader in musculoskeletal care, our sports medicine, sports science and human performance programs are a great match for this event,” said Tony Wahl, CEO of BSWTSJH. “In addition, many of our physicians and staff members are tennis fans excited to watch some of the game’s top tier competitors.”
